 Dehumidifies

This if my firstborn experience with a dehumidifier. The rapid arid just wasn’t cutting it in the new apartment/new city. I use this to reduce the humidity in a 700+ square foot apartment from the 60′s to the 40′s. It works. The handle rattles somewhat so making it as quiet as it may be took a tiny bit of effort. The water collection bin needs to be emptied once each day or two depending on how long it runs and the humidity. It’s too piercing to have in the same room to watch tv – but does an okay occupation keeping the apartment beneath 50% just running it for the duration of the day while we’re at work. Turning the humidity dial down doesn’t decrease the noise level.
Wish I didn’t need to use one.

 Great dehumidifier

We have an strange house with our bedrooms and bathrooms in the basement. Neither of the bathrooms have windows so we keep a dehumidifier in each one. This dehumidifier is so much quieter and runs less while keeping the humidity down. If I could I would replace the other one in a heartbeat. Another plus is that it also doesn’t heat up the room as much as our other one did/does. One last thing is that it is more compact and takes up way less space than our older one.

 Good but not great

Like so a good deal of things I buy through Amazon, this dehumidifier arrived promptly!Thanks Amazon.
This dehumidifier is applied primarily in my bedroom and has helped in reducing the musty moldy smell that has been a ceaseless problem since buying this house four years ago. However it has not worked as I expected or hoped. Even when I have run it constantly it only reduces the humidity level to fifty-eight percent. When a arid air mass moves into the area and I open the windows the humidity level drops to forty percent.
The water bin makes an annoying vibrating noise when it is running and stops when touched but then resumes. Also I don’t like the fact that my bedroom becomes way overheated when the dehumidifier is run for any length of time.
I would have to say this Frigidaire dehumidifier is better than not one thing but has not lived up to my expected values or full needs.
