garbage product and producer

I will let the accounts of the a great deal of discontented Haier victims stand for themselves. Yes, haier gives rise to junk. I will add this; they don’t honor their warranty obligations, and if their client service weren’t a run-around, it would be non-existent. My Haier dehumidifirer passed away before it is warranty amount of time was up, and I followed Haier’s instructions for intiating a warranty replacement. It has been a month since they received the package of items they requested, and they still haven’t shipped a new unit. Delay, “escalation”, delay, “escalation to corporate”, etc., and still no action. Don’t buy Haier

Poorly designed bucket – spills too easily

This Haier unit has been operating nicely for assorted weeks, beautiful design, easy to clean air filter and appears to be well built. Only time will tell if it is.
We exceptionally liked the 5 yr. warranty on the refrigeration constituents after my former bad experience with Sears unit and their service.
Major problem we have found has to do with the design of the bucket and “bucket full” shutoff float lacks any water level adjustment.
The water level in the bucket when full is so high that we find it inconceivable to remove and carry it from the unit without spilling.
A phone call to Haier regarding this did not provide a solution, as there is no adjustment for the float switch – and from the remarks of their client service agent, ours seems not the original call with regards to this problem.
While there is a knock out plug and flexible hose to concede one to connect this to a permanent drain, the emplacement of our (basement) installation is too far from any plumbing to make this a practical solution

Don’t buy Haier

Don’t buy… Haier has a D- rating (is a lower one possible??) at the New York, New York Better Business Bureau due to complaints when it comes to wrong merchandise not being responded to. Our HD306 dehumidifier, purchased in April 2007, no longer collects moisture just like similar reviewers have noted. When Haier responded to me they said, perchance not unreasonably, that I had to remunerate to have the dehumidifier’s problem diagnosed and then they might send the elements needed. I think Haier could have done better; I’d commend buying something from a dissimilar manufacturer.
