Ultrasonic Humidifier Transducer
The Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier 7145 is a high-quality ultrasonic humidifier featuring a premium titanium transducer surface, which uses adaptable high-frequency vibrations to turn water into a micro-fine mist, which is blown into the room to evaporate. Unlike other ultrasonic humidifiers, the Air-O-Swiss titanium transducer surface is much more inviolable than frequent metals, resists rust, lasts longer and requires less cleaning. The Air-O-Swiss 7145 features a tri-band microbial shelter scheme which warrants that the water will be held free from destructive bacteria and viruses. A replaceable demineralization cartridge (Ag+ Ionic Silver Technology) helps reduce ?white dust” (lime scale and other solid homogeneous inorgani substance deposits from the mist output). In addition, the patented Ionic Silver Stick uses aqueous silver ions to control microbial growth for up to one year of uninterrupted use. It is self-regulating and maintenance-free.
A sure amount of moisture in the air is necessary for the humane body to function properly. Scientific exploration conducted on the humane body proposes that the suitable amount of humidity required ranges from thirty to forty percent and if the humidity level is less than that, it may lead to nosebleeds, cough, and itchy eyes. The damaging effects of arid air are not fixed to the humane body and may likewise affect wall paint, furniture, wallpaper, and brittle wood.
Ultrasonic humidifiers are used in arid weather conditions to generate and maintain the adequate level of moisture in the indicated area. Different models of ultrasonic humidifiers available in the market carry out one basic function of circulating moisture through the air.
These widgets are dissimilar from steam humidifiers that use heat to convert water into vapor. Instead of heat, they use ultrasonic sound waves to convert water into a fine mist and heavy-duty fans to circulate the devised mist in the surrounding areas. These gimmicks are progressively being applied in nurseries and children rooms, as there is no peril of steam bursts that might occur in frequent humidifiers. They are also preferent due to their capacity to carry out quickly and quietly.
Some government agencies such as Environmental Protection Agency and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have in recent years indicated their worries in regards to the role of ultrasonic humidifiers in dispersing microorganisms and solid homogeneous inorgani substances in the air. However, conclusive scientific proof is still not available on this theory and agencies have not concluded that this poses a substantial health risk.
Users may follow a few basic steps to keep away from any potential troubles affiliated to dispersal of microorganisms and minerals. This includes using fresh water, periodic cleaning of water tanks, using disinfectant, and using water with low solid homogeneous inorgani substance content or distilled water. Usage instructions issued by the manufacturer must likewise be followed to cut down the risk of microorganism being placed in the air.

Gold membrane problem here as well By J. Dahl My unit worked well out of the box and appeared to be a great little unit, but the brassy/gold coating on the ultrasonic membrane is almost wholly gone after only a couple months of use and the unit no longer formulates a mist. It appears I have the precise same problem as the former reviewer James. I may only assume that they got a bad batch of membranes and will have this remedied promptly, and am returning the unit underneath it is 3-year warranty for a replacement. Considering the unit’s only two months old, time will tell how a good deal of replacements I go through in the next three years if they don’t repair the design…

BEST HUMIDIFIER / VAPORIZER EVER!!! SAFE for Kids & Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Fungal, By Leah I purchased this after reading a review of vaporizers / humidifiers in Good Housekeeping magazine, http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/product-testing/reviews-tests/appliances-electronics/best-humidifiers. This Air O Swiss model is dissimilar than the one commended by GH, but it is AWESOME.
It’s a cold mist, so it’s safe for kids / pets; I only need to fill it once a day; it is designed so that it won’t grow mold or harbor germs / viruses; very fine mist & leaves no powdery residue. VERY EASY to USE! AWESOME!
BONUS — much lower energy costs than other humidifiers / vaporizers AND much more effective.

Utterly silent By Ross I ordered this unit after reading respective reviews online, to replace an older Honeywell humidifier in my children’s room. It is precisely as promised; it does it is work quickly and effectively, generating a fine mist with no residue. It requires little maintenance equated with standard, filter humidifiers and it allows the user to control not only the humidity level but likewise the rate by which it reaches that level. My only complaint? It is TOO QUIET! My older, noisier machine served also as a white-noise scheme to aid my children sleep. Now, I have to go out and buy a real white noise machine. I guess that’s not much of a complaint. If you’re severe in regards to getting a top level humidifier at a reasonable price, get this one.
