29 Palms

Helen asks…
If I were to visit the Marine base at 29 Palms, where would I stay?
I am going for 2 weeks. Would I be able to stay on base or near base at 29 palms? How much would it be?

If you are dependant you can get a room in the on base billeting… I think its called the Sleepy Tortise Inn or Lodge. Availability is dependant on rank and priority. They can ask you to leave if an high NCO or Officer comes in last minute and needs a place to stay. Probably doesn’t happen often though. Thats normally about $50-$70 a night.
If you arent a dependant or staying with a service member in thebilleting I don’t believe you can stay at the on base billeting.
Thanks for your questions
